What is RaCon?

RaCon is a monthly gathering of liberal creatives doing what creatives do. We provide the time and space to enjoy creating art and building the community our activism is fighting for. We believe in fighting for democracy and want to be the water station along your marathon route of activism.

What happens at the meetings

Bring your yarn, clay, paints, scripts, beads and scrapbooks and spend a few hours every month enjoying your craft with other members of The Resistance. If you don't know what to do, we will have projects that you can contribute to and pottery you can purchase and paint.

We do some brief introductions, perhaps a presentation by an activist speaker or teach an art/craft lesson, then we just craft and enjoy each others company.

Engage in self-care through the participation in arts and crafts. It's hard to take care of ourselves when there's so much work to do. Your assignment at RaCon is to recharge your batteries so you are fully powered up to do that work in other spaces.

Get to know other liberal activists in the area in a fun and stress free environment. We are building a community that will stand strong against attempts to divide and isolate us.
